myoFascial Cupping Technique
‘The Myofascial Cupping technique provides profound benefits for clients, particularly with assisting the body in maintaining range of motion, eliminating Myofascial Trigger Points and reducing restrictive and sometimes painful fascial adhesions commonly found from repetitive movement originating from sports and the workplace. By reducing fascial adhesions, while encouraging optimal hydration levels of soft tissue, Myofascial Cupping can assist in reducing the incidence of injury and maintaining functional soft tissue.’
Although Cupping Therapy is often viewed as an intimidating treatment- leaving circular bruises as evidence- it is actually quite gentle and causes little pain in the treatment itself, and when done properly, requiring little to no recovery time post-treatment. It also leaves the client with immediate gains in range of motion, mobility, and movement patterns. It can be modified to be less or more intense, depending on the severity of the tissue tension, and depending on the stage we are at in working with our client’s injury/condition. We recommend it to anyone suffering specifically from chronic pain or reduced movement patterns.

fASCIAL sTRETCH tHERAPY
Roger offers the gold standard in Fascial Stretch Therapy, receiving his training at the Stretch to Win® Institute. FST™ is an incredible addition to any health care regimen: certainly in any athletic lifestyle, to achieve ultimate fluid & full range of movement, but also in the office/screen-time lifestyle, to correct poor patterns, identify weaknesses & compensations, and free the muscles & joints of pain. The body is meant to be moved, stretched, and opened. Facial Stretch Therapy is a gentle, pain-free, incredibly relaxing (yet therapeutic) method of doing so, taking the joints and fascial lines through their full ranges. Increased mobility, improved function, increased strength, decreased pain, and decreased compensation are all results you can expect to see after these treatments. Done fully clothed on a treatment table with nothing but straps to help stabilize during treatment, this is truly a life-changing modality that you will want to keep in your regular routine.
“ Fascial Stretch Therapy™ (FST) is a pain-free assisted stretch system that assesses and improves restrictions in the body originally designed for sport – beginning in the NFL and later branching off to other sports and leagues, such as the NHL and rugby. FST™ can help you to perform better, prevent injury, and reduce pain.” (www.torontoathelticclub.com)
“…Fascial Stretch Therapy (or FST), a type of stretching that targets not only the muscles, but the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints. FST also targets the entire joint and joint capsule, using traction to remove restrictions from movement and to stimulate lubrication.” (coachdebbieruns.com/10-benefits-of-fascial-stretch-therapy)
Myofascial Release Therapy
(currently unavailable w Jillianne on maternity leave)
‘Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (…)
The medical approach is to drug patients so they temporarily are free from pain, but does nothing about the (source) that is causing the pain. This is why so many patients only have temporary results never seeming to get better with traditional therapy. Myofascial Release treats the entire Myofascial mind/body complex, eliminating the pressure of the restricted Myofascial system (the straight-jacket) that causes the symptoms.’

HOT STONE THERAPY
(currently unavailable w Jillianne on maternity leave)
Hot Stone Therapy is a beautiful addition to any of your regular Massage Therapy sessions- both therapeutic or relaxation. Balsic stones with soft rounded edges are heated naturally with hot water, and within your temperature tolerance, are applied to the muscles and soft tissue to bring circulation to the area, vasodilate the vessels, bring oxygen and nutrient flow in to the area, and increase toxin flow out of the area. Jill’s technique keeps the stones moving with the pressure of her hands over the stones, breaking down adhered or restricted tissues, and releasing pain and tension quickly and easily. Therapeutic results can be achieved in a shorter period of time with less pain for the client. If relaxation is the goal, this gentle therapeutic heat is the answer. (Currently unavailable- returning winter 2021)
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a treatment of the face, ears, hands, or feet to address areas of concern throughout the rest of the body. In most treatments, a series of specific points are worked with different levels of focus for desired outcomes to be achieved. During treatment of these pressure points, the reflexologist addresses internal organs and glands as well as muscle groups, bones, nerve ganglions and nerves. Reflexology can help diminish the symptoms of headaches, migraines, poor digestion, anxiety and tension, poor nerve conduction, sciatica, and poor circulation. In Chinese Medicine, it has also been said to improve the flow of qi (pronounced ‘Chee’) also known as ‘vital energy’. It is thought that stress and anxiety can block this flow, and reflexology treatments can open those pathways back up. This tends to leave the patient feeling ‘lighter’ and improved energy and momentum. For these treatments, clients can expect focus on the feet but hands and ears may also be addressed if necessary. Erika offers 30 and 45 minute sessions, specializing in hands & feet, and Aimee offers 30 to 90 minutes sessions, specializing in Facial & Auricular treatment.
